Im this nervous about talking to thirty strangers for four minutes, why? Four minutes isnt even a fraction of the life ive left to live, how many minutes will I spend passing this knowledge on to children, grandchildred? More than four minutes thats for sure. I hate how rigid the education system is, how regardless of your interest you are required to take certain classes that have little to no relation to your future career. It pisses me right off that I need the validation of a school to impress an employer. You should judge me based on my capabilities and accomplishments rather than a number on a page that tells you how I stacked up against other students trapped in the system. I long for an escape, an adventure, a vacation from this mundane culture. Maybe a week in the woods or something along those lines. Ill get there one day, a place where I can actually be myself, and people wont judge me because im quiet or shy, they will just understand that I prefer the silent musings of my thoughts to the arguing and complaining of others. Your boyfriend is an ass? Dump him, you hate your job? Quit. Oh how I long for that true freedom…

But i’m super pumped about this new project. The only downside is the $130 price tag. Maybe if I can get the $70 my dad owes me.

Here’s whats up, I’m gonna get 4’ by 8’ sheets of 1/2” rigid foam insulation, then with a sort of a large cookie cutter tool i’m going to cut those sheets into almost 1,000 foam bricks, about 7” by 2”. Then im going to take each brick and shave down edges and corners to add some realism and detail to the bricks. After they are all shaped im going to seal them with diluted Elmer’s white school glue. The sealed bricks will be given a base coat of a dark colonial red spray paint and after that dries i’m going through with a sponge and small bottles of red and brown paint for more detail. after all the bricks are painted and dry they’ll be individually glued to the wall with construction adhesive and allowed to cure. after all the bricks are set and stuck im going through with a cheap painters caulk to look like a mortar between the bricks. After that dries ill be taking a little brush and painting the caulk a light grey to finish the mortar look.

like i said, super pumped. and it should look awesome when its done. granted its totally pointless, especially if i move out any time soon, but its happening.

somehow between not giving a fuck and not liking where i am.

I might have finally accepted that high school friends leave, and continue to not give a shit about you. And that new friends come from the most unlikely places. This may be the lack of sleep talking but it feels like im done falling down and starting to get back up again. we shall see where this goes. tune in next time for more adventures of my fucked up and at the same time incredibly normal life.
